Jeni Seo is a bilingual South Korean voice coach and certified Michael Chekhov technique teacher, specialising in accent and performance coaching with a focus on psychophysical and intercultural approaches to voice training. Her actor-centred methodology supports performers in building vocal confidence, clarity, and presence, particularly in high-pressure professional environments.
Jeni has coached actors at all levels, from fringe performances to Emmy-winning actors. Jeni is especially passionate about the authentic representation of East and Southeast Asian accents, helping actors navigate linguistic nuance while maintaining emotional and narrative integrity.
Coaching credits include Star Wars: The Acolyte (Disney+), Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (Columbia Pictures), Vought Rising (Amazon Prime / The Boys universe), and The Apology (Arcola Theatre).
In addition to her coaching work, Jeni holds an MFA in Actor Training and Coaching (Distinction) from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and teaches at leading UK institutions including Central, De Montfort University, Performers College, ArtsEd, the University of Northampton, and Identity School of Acting.
As a scholar, her research focuses on acting in English as a second language, aiming to empower international actors to perform with confidence and connection in an additional language. Her work draws on a range of practices—such as Stanislavsky, Michael Chekhov, and Viewpoints—alongside linguistic frameworks including Aneta Pavlenko’s work on bilingualism and identity.
