Richard Ryder
Areas of Expertise: Voice, Accent
Richard developed his specialism in accent and dialect work after graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama in 2004 with a M.A in Voice Studies. He began teaching at East 15 Acting School and from 2007 to 2011 he was Head of Voice (Southend) at East 15. During this time he also developed his professional work in theatre, film and TV.
Since 2005 he has been the voice and dialect coach for Creation Theatre' outdoor summer Shakespeare productions in Oxford. Last October he joined the RSC for six months working in the voice department. As well as the RSC Richard has also worked as accent coach and dialect coach at: West Yorkshire Playhouse, Queens Theatre Horncurch and Salisbury Playhouse.
His film and TV work as an accent/dialect coach has included work with: BBC, Tiger Aspect and Shabander Film productions.
He also works with business clients for voice and presentation work and coaches international speakers who are in need of Standard British English accent development.
