My background as a voice coach is firmly bedded in performance, in both acting and singing, having spent many years exploring and mastering truthful expression through the voice. My extensive credits include the Royal National Theatre, numerous Repertory theatres throughout the UK, aswell as the Australian State theatres and International/National Tours and works in feature films and television.

As a coach, tapping into the director's vision I work with the actor's interpretation of the text and their creative instincts. Accent, voice, body, background and environment are all inseparable in unravelling the character and their text and, as such, my approach to voice is synchronistic. The exploration is a shared journey of discovery with the actor in a way that enriches the production to it's fullest, while being a totally enjoyable process. I have worked in pre-production, on set, and in post-production/ADR, in an individual and editorial capacity.

Having travelled extensively and lived in Europe, Hong Kong and Australia, I speak a number of languages (fluent French and German, basic Cantonese, Spanish, and Greek, and a knowledge of Asian/Latin languages - Japanese, Malay, Indonesian, Italian) with a wide exposure to and understanding of many cultures. I have also used a wide range of accents and dialects, aswell as languages, in my performances.

My qualifications include an MA & Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Voice Studies, Central School of Speech anmd Drama; an M.F.A in Voice in Performance, queensland University of Technology, Institute of Linguists, Institut Francais (higher French and German), Universities of Lille and Paris (French), Royal Society of Arts (TEFL Certificate).

My scope of work has included coaching on audio presentations, voice-overs, role-plays, training in voice for teachers, authors, journalists and doctors, English teaching and accent reduction.
